Student titer II panel (previously the Allied Health Panel) is needed for healthcare students, school faculty, healthcare and veterinary professionals, medical sales and medical device representatives to have confirmation of immunization through titer testing. The antibody test is an analysis that detects the presence and measures the amount of antibodies in a person’s blood.
The student titer II panel includes the following tests:
Measles – Also known as rubeola, is a virus that infects cells in the lung and in the back of the throat
Mumps – This is a contagious viral infection that is easily spread through sneezing, coughing, talking, or by sharing items (e.g. utensils or cups)
Rubella – Highly contagious infection characterized by fever and rash
Hepatitis B – Inflammation of the liver caused by a viral infection
Varicella – Chickenpox and shingles are caused by an infection with the varicella zoster virus (VZV)
AM I REQUIRED TO FAST?
No, fasting is not required. There are no dietary or medicinal restrictions to take this test.
WHAT IS THE SAMPLE REQUIRED?
A simple venous blood draw.
